Last night, I updated Lubuntu the usual way:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude full-upgrade

And this morning, when I tried to login using my account (I am the admin user of this box), it seemed to hang at the LXDE background screen. I am able to switch to a non-gui console and login that way, or login using a different user's account, but why has my account suddenly been unable to login fully to the LXDE environment?

It's not such a problem for me, since I do most of my stuff in the console anyway, but it would be nice to know why this has happened in case it happens to a normal (non-admin) user?
