phpMyAdmin installation root@localhost access denied

Hi.

I'm running ubuntu 14.04 64 bits and triying to install phpmyadmin with command:


sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin

after some password prompts the system throw "root@localhost" access denied (see pictures)

Try to reinstal phpmyadmin several times but didn't work.

I don't know what else to do. Does someone know a tutorial online or maybe point out a solution for this problem?

Close this thread since I found the answer.

The password was the mysql password previously crated on installation and not the a new password on phpmyadmin.
