How to force minimise Windows to Cairo Dock?

I have just installed Ubuntu 14.0.4 on my HP Envy M6 by Dual Booting it with Windows 8. I have Cairo Dock installed and I've been messing with its settings in advanced mode thoroughly, but I just can't get all apps and instances to minimise to the dock instead of Unity's Launcher. Is there a setting in Cairo I have to change to have all apps, instances and windows minimise to cairo dock instead of Unity's Launcher? Thanks.

I had the same issue here, some times the apps are minimized into unity bar (on the left side), sometimes on the cairo-dock but its random, dont have a explanation for it =(

This problem been reported on and off with no solution as AFIK. I have used the Cairo dock session, but never opened the dock while logged into unity because I don't use that many launchers. You can add multiple docks in the session but it lacks Unity dash features.
