View Full Version : [SOLVED] 14.04 Hangs after login

After upgrading to Xubuntu 14.04 I've had trouble with the desktop hanging during login. I get the login/desktop environment selection screen, have XUbuntu session selected, and log in. I then get a white screen and my mouse pointer goes to the "busy" swirly. My CPU's fans go to high speed and the system just sits there. It won't do anything until I CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE. After doing that it will load up the desktop and run as expected. Any ideas?

Edit - found that clearing sessions appears to have fixed the problem.
