hello, I am trying to install ubuntu for android on my Galaxy Core according to following page: http://developer.ubuntu.com/start/ubuntu-for-devices/installing-ubuntu-for-devices/
but when I am at the point of unlocking the device and type:
adb reboot bootloader

An android-figure standing up appears with the text that it is downloading, while I should get an Android-figure lying down, with a start option. Can anyone help me?

grtz, Frank

May I point out that what you are trying to install is not Ubuntu for Android but Ubuntu for phone/tablet devices? Is your device on this list?

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Devices

I do not see it there but then again I may be missing something. Official development by Canonical is only being done for the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2013 WiFi only) and the Nexus 10. Community developers are working on the ports of Ubuntu to those other devices listed. They are all at different states of progress.

Is this device connected to a desktop install of Ubuntu? The device may be downloading the backup of Android data.

Did you notice this?
