I've installed 14.04 on an SSD and have my main data files on a HDD. When I go to create symlinks (e.g. Documents, Pictures, etc.) to the HDD I get small folders( with a small arrow) inside the main home folder. I have to move the linked folders out of the main folder replacing it. I get the link to the hdd okay, but is there any way I can get less transparency with my symlinks? When I open the linked folder it shows the path to the HDD. I just want a normal looking folder that links from my home directory on my SSD to my data directories on my HDD. Sorry if this sounds a little vague.
