I installed Xubuntu 14.04 on my Thinkpad T420 and I am facing the following issues:
1. Brightness gets reset to zero after every reboot and i have to increase it every time.
2. I set the keyboard shortcut for Show Desktop to Super+D. However, after reboot, the shortcut does not work. When i go to Settings -> Window manager, it shows the keyboard shortcut as Super+D but it just doesn't work. I have to select the action, click on Edit, and again select Super+D. Then it starts working. This has to be repeated after every reboot.
Is it possible to make these settings permanent?
