This is a problem that has occurred with some software that I use such as Banshee and VLC. When I open them up (to pay a music file for example) they play the file, but the software is not visible. I can see VLC on the side menu, but it is not on the switcher menu, and does not appear on screen. I've unistalled and reinstalled. perhaps this is a problem with the settings?
