upgrade stopped before complete

While trying to upgrade to 14.04 my computer stopped during the "installing the upgrades" is there a command I can use to resume the install without a total wipe out of the hard drive?

What do you mean by "stopped"?

Gave you an error message? (What was the exact message?)
Froze?
Turned off?

Is your system currently usable?
