Hello Ubuntu community. This is my first post so I hope it is in the correct location. I just upgraded from 12.04 LTS to 14.04 LTS on my thinkpad T510 laptop and now when I try to wake the computer from sleep mode I get a login screen which freezes for a long period of time (over a minute) and then allows me to put in my password, but then just send me to a blank screen showing only my wall paper (no icons, unity tool bar etc...) and I have to do a hard-shutdown and turn the computer back on to use it. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
