Q: create USB drive for 14.04 install or upgrade from 12.04 to 14.04 with each step?

I'm having extreme difficulty with a USB drive for a 14.04 install on a system that has 12.04 already.

Which is better? Whatever works? This is all related to not being able to get the wireless to work (see my other thread for that).

Yes. Whatever you choose, you get the same end product. Some people (like me) do not have any luck with upgrades. I am 0 for 3 so I always do a fresh install. Others only upgrade. Since this is the first LTS for Lubuntu, perhaps the best choice is the fresh install. In either case back up all of your data because you never know what will happen. Best of luck.
