Hi,

I'm using Kubuntu 14.04 on an Asus UX301 with HiDPI (2560x1440) and have a problem with the taskbar. Some icons (like dropbox) are very tyni while other like OwnCloud are scaled in a pretty good way. Same remark concerning the left part of my taskbar where the taskmanager shows very tiny icons also.

See the two attached pictures.

Try this out and see if it works:

Increase font dpi (System Settings → Application Appearance → Fonts → Force font dpi, enter a number such as 125 or 150)

Increase icon sizes (System Settings → Application Appearance → Icons → Advanced, here choose a higher icon size for all icons, eg. just increase each icon type by one step)

If not, there are a few tips here that might be helpful: https://community.kde.org/KDE/High-dpi_issues

I'm waiting for a Yoga 2 Pro to ship, so once I've got my hands on it, I'll post any possible fixes I come across :)

Thank's for your answer.

I'm now using Ubuntu desktop for 5 months without any problems of icon size. This is the solution I found for my problem.

Kindly Regards

Olivier

Yeah, sorry my answer came a bit late...

Hmmm...I'm hoping KDE will get their stuff together with HiDPI....I really do prefer KDE over Gnome....
