I have problems down loading and installing Ubuntu 14.04 lTS.

I had tried now x3 this weekend, and there was no ISO linux files in the files that I had downloaded.

That size should the download be ? Because all the x3 times had download it, the size was only 920 md in size.

So there could be a fault with server ????

francois3; Hi !

As a reference on file size (12.04.1) - blue:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 sysop sysop 728018944 Jul 7 2013 ubuntu-12.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso

OK, the process is to download an .iso ( this a a compressed image of what will be)
http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop
Check the integrity of that .iso file:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM
Burn that .iso as an image (not data !)
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

Once the liveDVD/USB is burned, from the liveDVD boot options screen select "check disk for defects".

Now you have the means

to do something
