Hi,

I recently heard about the next generation video codec H.265 which is known to have twice the compression ratio in comparison to H.264. Therefore it is possible to achieve the same video quality in half the file size and likewise superior video quality without increase in file size. If all thats true this really good news to people who do a lot of streaming and to be honest also for torrent users.

People who living in developing countries will truly benefit from this coz the file size is getting reduced.

Its a difficult question but whats your best guess ? How long will it take for H.265 to gain popularity and finally replace 264 ?
