13.10 Unity Dash: apps only

Is there any way to disable everything in Unity Dash except installed applications? The goal is to show apps only like on Gnome launcher with one tab, to fast access the desired apps.

I find the absence of fle search a major limitation of gnome shell's dash. But if you want you can always configure dash home to show only applications, like gnome-shell's recent applications. Go to the filter > sources and highlght only applications.
