Wubi installation download stuck on contributions page

I have tried to download the Windows Ubuntu 12.04 installer (on my five-year-old Dell Windopws XP machine):

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/windows-installer

Clicking on the above, I get sent to a 'make a contribution' page:

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/contribute/?distro=wubi&bits=&release=lts

Three times (once on Internet Explorer, twice on Firefox) I have made a contribution with Paypal, but, after Paypal have achknowledged that the contibution has been received, instead of my being then allowed to progress with the installation, I just get sent to the Paypal homepage:

https://www.paypal.com/home

There seems no way of getting beyond the 'make a contribution' page.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, that link surely is directing to a page from where the installer cannot be downloaded.
And that link is where in this page? : http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

Wubi is an abandoned project and it is best to avoid it.
If you want to run Ubuntu, get a liveCD and choose 'Try Ubuntu' to check hardware compatibility and all.

First of all, just to let you know just in case, it isn't mandatory to contribute - in case you were wondering about Ubuntu being free and all that. Yes, it is free. It is up to you if you choose to contribute or not.

Secondly, if you've already contributed as you mentioned, what if you just choose the "Not now, take me to the download page". Does it let you download the image then?

Otherwise, it is just another weird DNS/ISP/Browser issue. If you keep encountering the same problem, try a different browser.

The simplest of all, download from here:

http://releases.ubuntu.com/12.04/

Go to Windows section in right-hand column, click on third option 'Installing Ubuntu...', it takes you to

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/install-ubuntu-with-windows

Click on the 'Windows Installer' link near the top.

Where exactly is the Wubi installer on this page, please? I'm not having a lot of luck with the PC (Intel x86) Wubi filesystem archive (http://releases.ubuntu.com/12.04/ubuntu-12.04.4-wubi-i386.tar.xz) link.

What was going on with the contribution page (http://www.ubuntu.com/download/deskt...s=&release=lts (http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/contribute/?distro=wubi&bits=&release=lts)), I am wondering with concern? Why didn't it have a 'Not now, take me to the download page' link,and why didn't it take me anywhere after I'd paid my money?

Update: I asked via Paypal for a refund of my donation, received one without quibble or explanation.

Still seems odd, though.

If anyone can direct me to a webpage where there actually is a Wubi download - as opposed to a page which just seems to link to such - I'd be grateful.
