View Full Version : [all variants] Queued drag and drop file copy

Hello all,
say I want to copy plenty of hand-picked largish files to a common destination. And each copy takes time. If I just use dolphin to drag and drop them, it launches as many simultaneous copies and everything crawls to a halt after only a few files.

If there a way to have the copies queued ? I can't do multiple selection with ctrl/shift click because they are in various directories. Also doing "cp ." in a shell and dropping the filenames between the cp and the dot is quickly unmanageable...

I'm tempted to write one as it would certainly be a good way to learn QT, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

You could always select all of the files (CTRL+A), copy them (CTRL+C), and paste it in a directory (CTRL+V).
