Program does not take keyboard input

When I open a GUI program to X11, the keyboard input does not work. The keyboard seems OK because I can still Alt+mouse to move the program window around. Thanks for the help.

You have this problem in all programs or in a specific one?

When all, then could be something defect with the signals. The OS have to send the keyboard interrupts to the running program with the focus. The OS make this with a signal. I would in this case re-installing the os.

If is only one program, then is the (your?) program not good...
