View Full Version : Added Lubuntu/LXDE and now cannot remove it

Hi All,

I added the Lubuntu desktop to try it out and then removed it via terminal but when I start up or shutdown the display still shows a Lubuntu splash screen even with the active dots. Is there a way to completely get back to Ubuntu without a reinstall? Thank you.

Thank you very much and I am glad I read the post as I had to click on my version, 12.04, link for the correct instructions. It sure cleaned things up...so much so that I need to install a few removed apps but no biggie really! Nice to know there is a good option when we try new things.
