View Full Version : [ubuntu] Error messages that appear when booting

Hi,

Ok just a brief background on how I got to this point. First of all I had Windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.10 dual boot, I them removed Ubuntu and went back to Windows 8 only(deleting the Linux partition and extending the Windows 8 one in the process).

This past weekend I have decided I need to make the jump full time to a Linux OS and I'm currently running successfully on it's own Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Now I did manage to pull my own windows files off as I kept the Windows 8 partition temporarily until I was happy and set up and then used the Ubuntu install disk to delete the Windows partition and extend the ext4 drive.

This is the part that is annoying me, more an annoyance than an actual issue. When booting up I see three error messages pop up and then go away, they happen so fast I can't read what they say apart from "error". Ubuntu boots fine with no issues so i'm not sure what they are or what is attempting to be checked and then throwing the errors.

I have updated to GRUB2 hoping to address this issue, but still happens.

Has anyone any thoughts?
