View Full Version : [SOLVED] [12.04][TIP] Clickpad Giggles on clicking the edge

Hello,
I just wanted to share my experience for these couple of days.
I bought a new Laptop: Acer Aspire V3-772G with a Clickpad
I installed Ubuntu 12.04 and encountered one BIG problem! When I try to click with the actual button of the Clickpad my mouse
GIGGLED on the Y coordinate(up and down), even when I didn't click, only press the EDGE of the Bottom of the Clickpad.
Only in one place I found the answer (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2152733&p=12684269#post12684269), regarding that I was watching the Wiki of my driver: Touchpad Synaptics (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics) which came with Ubuntu 12.04.04

The thing that wasn't said in the Documentation was this:

Increase the values and your mouse will get better and even better it will be FIXED:

xinput --set-prop "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" "Synaptics Noise Cancellation" 20 20

I see it like this: "Synaptics Noise Cancellation" x y
