I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on an external hard drive. I have a Sony VAIO laptop running Windows 8 on the internal drive. After a successful install, Ubuntu won't boot showing "Operating System Not Found". I tried using boot-repair, but it doesn't seem to find the Ubuntu installation at all, only Windows, and it doesn't let me install grub to the external drive. What should I do?
