I have a Thinkpad X201s (W7) that I've been very happy with. At some point soon, I may need to replace it. I don't want Windows 8, so I'm looking for Linux-native laptops and recommendations. Key points:

Portable - 11"-13" screens only. I travel a lot, and don't want to lug a big laptop around.
Good keyboard - The Thinkpad has a great keyboard, and I want something that at least comes close. I do a lot of writing, so keyboard quality is crucial.
<$1,000(-ish) - Where most small-screen Linux-native laptops fall down, is on cost. I could get one at Emperor Linux, based on a Thinkpad X230, but it's actually substantially cheaper to by a new X240 with W8, and install Linux myself. Of course, that leaves me with the installation and driver hassles.
Linux-native - I'd rather avoid the installation hassle if I can, and get something guaranteed to work.

Recommendations welcome.
