Date on Top Panel?

The Time and Date Indicator shows the time on the top panel but not the date (until its pulled down). Is there a way to get the date on the top panel?

This is on 13.10.

Open System settings,
then go to time and date.
then click the tab for clock.
You should have options there to set day date, etc,etc.

Somehow I think it should be said that sometime either with raring or saucy development, there was a bug where if you set the seconds to show it started eating ram and cpu ferociously.

So if you intend to set the seconds option, keep that in mind.
I think it was fixed, though, but you never know.
