Hello! I'm new to the forum and also far from being a Ubuntu expert. I've had Ubuntu for a couple of years now, side by side with windows 7 on my netbook, and I've never had any problems with upgrading from 10.02 slowly to 12.04.... Until I reached 12.10!
I followed all the instructions , with 92 GB available. I rebooted and after the BIOS, 3 real fast "error: file not found" came up and my usual GNU GRUB 1.98 page was EMPTY (only the Memtest86 as an option)!! Of course the simple "turn it on again, you'll be luckier" didn't work.
I would like to salvage whatever I can... Thank you in advance.
