sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/experiments
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
killall nautilus
This method was the best solution to accomplish the downgrading of nautilus to keep the dual pane option.
The "NEMO" option is the one suggesting the different color handle of the knife I'm using to commit UBU suicide!!!
The adding of Quantal repo only results in broken packages and inablility to install nautilus.
Will someone, "in the know" please, Please create a .deb file that will uninstall, & reinstall the desired downgraded nautilus version.
Those working on nautilus can continue with whatever it is... just as long as I can have this .deb created...
or would settle for someone flipping the switch & I can effectively use the "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/experiments" method.
