6 year old laptop. Tried all kubuntus, all failed for different reason. Tried lubuntu 12.04, was successfuly installed but didn't have full disk encryption. So now trying lubuntu 13.10 with full disk encryption. Soon after I chose encrypted installation option I get this error: ubi-partman failed with exit code 141, further info can be found in... ----------------- Before this error, I deleted all partitions with gparted; and after this got the error: unsafe swap space ..so did swapoff -a. After "all this problems fixed" I get the new error: ubi-partman failed.........There are 3 options now: Quit; Continue anyway ; Try Again. Nothing happens whichever is clicked. ----------------- Going back a little bit further: there was windows which was replaced with kubuntu and then encrypted kubuntu in 8-11 range versions. So this computer should be accepting some kubuntu, but accepts none now.
