Can't install Ubuntu alongside windows 7

Hi everyone,
My task is to install ubuntu alongside windows 7. However, when I start the installation the installer claims that I have no OS's installed, so obviously it doesn't see windows 7 and mostly sure grub will not be able to boot it. How can I resolve this issue?
