Unity Dash: "Sorry, there is nothing that matches your search"

Hey all, I upgraded from 12.04 to 13.10 but now my Unity Dash won't bring up any search results. I've tried the steps outlined here (http://askubuntu.com/questions/360406/dash-not-working-after-upgrade-to-13-10) to no avail.

Any help that could be provided would be appreciated.

I get that message sometimes. I am using Trusty Tahr (14.04). I got it today. I click the applications lens. That seems to get the Dash search function spitting out stuff. And the Home super scope does what it is supposed to do. I think that the Dash needs to rebuild it search database from time to time.

Yeah I tried that but unfortunately it still doesn't find anything. Thanks tho.

What application is not being located ? Is this a clean installation or did you upgrade in order from 12.04-1210-13.04-13.10 ?
