Hi,

I want to install linux but i'm not ready to uninstall windows(yet). I know only a little about computers and programming(python mainly) but not allot.
I did try running it from a live usb and a viritual machine but performance was slow.

When i installed ubuntu with wubi i had some problems: ubuntu worked fine but i couldn't get into windows anymore(blue screen of death!). Also when i was in ubuntu the "C" drive(where i installed wubi on) was gone but my "D" drive was still visible). Now windows works again(system recovery and ubuntu uninstall via safe mode).
I read some people had the same problem but i don't know how to fix it.

Is is maybe better to install ubuntu side by side with windows(dual boot)?
Is that dangerous for windows or are there disadvantages? I'm a little worried after the wubi install.
Is it also difficult(allot of unexpected errors) to unistall ubuntu if for some reason i don't want it anymore?

Thank you!

Hello,

it's better that you use dual boot, just burn an iso file on a DVD and then click Install ubuntu alongside windows.
For uninstalling is here a tutorial and (kinda) very simple.
