I've been having problems getting a Turbosight TBS6285 quad DVB working, and the suggestion is that I might need to drop my kernel back a bit. It's actually Mythbuntu, but I understand it's the same as Ubuntu under the hood.

I've tried several ways to downgrade to 3.2 including from the repositories, manual downgrades etc, but it's still showing up as 3.8

One document says that I need to edit my /etc/default/grub file, but I can't work out what needs to be added to it.

Does anyone have any advice, either on the DVB card problems, or the kernel downgrade issues I'm having?

I'm having a similar problem, I think. I'm using the latest kernel (3.13.0-27) with mythbuntu and haven't been able to successfully get TBS6285 working with it, or with a Ubuntu/XBMC. I hadn't heard about using an older kernel so I'll try this and see if it works.

How have you got on with this card since your last post?
