I am new to linux and have installed ubuntu 12.04lts. In windows Kmplayer automatically plays *.lrc files when the song is played. but in case of ubuntu i not able to the same. so my PROBLEM is :- if I could display or visualize lyrics or subtitles( I have .lrc files in my data base ) with audio song at the time when they are sung or spoken. I have KMplayer, rhythmbox, smplayer but any one of these is not displaying the lyrics with audio files. i dont want to see the full lyrics text, but i want to see like as subittles when they are shown in playing movie. thanks in advance. p.s. i dont want to disaply full text like rhythmbox lyrics plugin does. I want each of them when thery are sung. I don't want search the lyrics from internet rather i waould use my own *.lrc files.
:KS problem solved!! searched and found OSD minilyrics . this supports almost all famous player and works very well.

Welcome to the Ubuntu Forums :-)

Maybe you find something useful if you browse the internet for linux karaoke and of course linux lrc

I have duckduckgoed on "kmplayer", and there seem to be TWO kmplayers: one for Windows, and one (KDE) for Linux.
So probably the version you use in Linux is not the same as you used in Windows.

Please check this and find the information you need using DuckDuckGo or Google or so.
