Cannot connect to internet

Hi.Just installed Kubuntu 12.04. I appear to connect to my BT home hub with my Belkin usb Wireless adapter but cannot connect to the internet after entering my wpa password.
Can someone direct me to some configuration instructions please?

Just entered the details into The network manager as I have done several times and tihis time it connected.

If you plug in with an ethernet cable, does it work?
What are the network settings? Please post these:

ifconfig
route

We are really trying to determine where the problem is now. Physical, logical, settings?
