I have been using mint 14/15 for a couple of years (but the ubuntu forum is better supported) and have just received some trimbe geoexplorer 3 gps units.
I have tried installling the trimble from disk with wine and wine tricks but to no avail ](*,) and decided the way forward would be simply to install windows 2000 as a dual boot, then just use that for the trimble's ....
i have downloaded the windows os from pirate bay but now find myself out of my depth....... how can i set my laptop up as a dual boot, please if you have the time to instruct me do so as if you were addressing a newbe as my computer skills are definitely limited
i did look online and on this forum but they all seem to start with windows and it looks different
i hope one of you coffee drinking gurus can help this minty wannabe (even if you just need to call me a fool and patch me a link to an appropriate thread !;)?)
Thanks, Steve
