For some reason, Kubuntu has problems with my specific wireless adapter (TP-Link ln-wn722n). As such, I am forced to download the firmware for the adapter and something called compat-wireless. In order to install compat-wireless I have to compile it together and the vanilla kubuntu distro lacks the tools to do that. So it there any way that I can open the installation iso, preload the correct firmware and the compat-wireless package to be installed and then use that disk to install from? That way, I will have wireless capability right out of the box. Thanks.
