Hello Linux users,

I'm trying to install Ubuntu or Ubuntu Studio as my main operating system without Windows. I've installed Ubuntu Studio several times and run boot-repair about as many times.

Two things: Ubuntu Studio doesn't seem to completely finsih installation because it can't save some Grub file to /target/

Also, Grub only actually booted once after my third try on boot-repair. It hasn't run since. This last boot-repair didn't seem to run through the whole process, but gave me a successful message.

The boot-repair paste URL is: http;//paste.ubuntu.com/68534871/

Other paste URL's from previous tries are: http;//paste.ubuntu.com/6830833/
http;//paste.ubuntu.com/6834290/
http;//paste.ubuntu.com/6835113/

Finally, I wish I had a sure way to check my hdd is ok. During one install, I couldn't install next to my previous one because it couldn't repartition.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi welcome to UF.

This link is being reported as 'Does not exist yet'. The boot-repair paste URL is: http;//paste.ubuntu.com/68534871/

After a bit of editing managed to get this one. http://paste.ubuntu.com/6853471/ which looks like it has nothing to do with your computer.

Could you post the link to the correct one or a new one please.

Welcome. Yes, repost your boot info with a valid link.

Taking an outside stab here; are you booting in legacy and do you have four partitions on that drive already?
