Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new IDE that is cross platform, supports multiple languages with all the bells and whistles (code completion, syntax highlighting, debugging etc) that is a little more responsive and stable than eclipse. Extra points if you can name one that runs on Ubuntu and OS X.

Can someone help me out?

You could try "Geanie", I haven't got to play with it any yet due to being exteremely busy, but I would give it a try. I think can do c++, g++. QT, JavaScript, PHP, etc...

And it's in the Ubuntu Software Center. There is also "BlueFish" is another IDE that runs on Linux.

You could try Code::Blocks, an IDE I use happily.

I've used Bluefish for HTML and Javascript, but lately I'm finding that Geany covers just about every need I have. I tried Eclipse also, way too tempramental, and with all its complexity still doesn't seem that much more functional than Geany.
