Hello guys,
I've installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS in a dual-boot fashion alongside Windows 7, my main boot loader/manager belonging to Windows 7; to access Ubuntu I've modified the Windows 7 MBR using a program called EasyBCD.
After installing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS from an USB flash memory, Ubuntu's bootloader worked accordingly. I than proceeded into installing all the updates Ubuntu asked me. One restart Later I get this message:
"Kernel Panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block"
How do I manage this ? Please keep note that I would like to continue using Windows 7's MBR as my main boot manager.
Please leave a reply if more information is needed.
Thank you,
JrT.
Oh, btw I can still access Ubuntu using my previous version of the kernel. The error message is displayed only when I try to load my newest version of the Ubuntu kernel.
