Hello Everyone

I have an HMA-Pro VPN account and it works great under Windows. I am now trying to get onto Ubuntu full time so I would like to be able to use it there. It should be easy. The recommended way to get a GUI is to use gopenvpn, which I installed using these instructions: https://hidemyass.zendesk.com/entries/24962851-gOpenVPN-on-Linux-step-by-step and it installed fine. When I get to the part where it tells me to launch it, I click the icon from the unity search and then nothing happens.

I know it's running, it can see it in System Monitor: 249589

I tried installing this ppa http://askubuntu.com/questions/362135/how-to-re-enable-tray-icons-for-applications-in-ubuntu-13-10 and setting the whitelist on, but it still won't appear.

Is there any way to get this program to a point where I can use it?

Thanks, andyfied

Quick update, I ran Compiz settings so I could switch the Desktop Cube on (I love it) and now it appears with some other things. Unfortunately I get this error: Error launching OpenVPN subprocess

I am trying this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1021592 I will let you know how I get on, but can this be moved to networking now it's a networking issue and not DE?
