View Full Version : [ubuntu] Canon CR2 raw images opened with a pink tint Precise

I noticed that whenever I open a Canon CR2 image in Precise, using any viewer (gimp, ufraw, shotwell, darktable, etc), the image always has a strange pink tint to it.

This did not happen in Lucid or prior versions, did something break? Does anyone know of a fix?

If you save those images as .dng or .tiff, close and open again, so you see that still?

Yes I tried saving them as a TIFF, opening it again, even with another viewer, still looks the same.

I'm having the same problem, intermittently, and strangely only in the past couple days.

It could be some recent update that broke it then.

I found a partial fix, for UFRaw at least, if you install the latest UFRaw fro the web site then CR2's display correctly in UFRaw (and also GIMP).

But this does not fix the pink tint when opening CR2's in other programs, like shotwell or darktable.
