View Full Version : [xubuntu] Using Synapse with Nemo on Xubuntu 13.10

I'd like to use Nemo rather than Thunar as my default file browser, but I can't get it to work properly with Synapse. Using Thunar as my default file browser, when I bring up a file with Synapse and press enter, the file is opened using the appropriate application. This is what I want to happen. But if Nemo is set as my default file browser, bringing up a file and pressing enter launches Nemo, which shows me the file highlighted in its directory. I then need another mouse click to open my file.

Is there any way to fix this behavior?

Still not working in Xubuntu 14.014. I've found that I can launch the file by pressing "enter", which makes things a lot quicker, but then I still have a Nemo window open that I didn't necessarily want open.

It seems odd that Synapse requires access to your file manager to launch a file...
