Help With KDE

I installed Kubuntu desktop and I'm having a few problems with it. Firstly, the wallpaper I set get doesn't stay and it just reverts back to the default wallpaper. Second, I set a background for the login screen but it just shows a blank white background behind the login box. Is there a way to fix this. I noticed it happens with any distro that has KDE as the default desktop i.e. Fedora, openSUSE.

SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?! 10 Hours and still no reply? Oh how the community love oozes from every corner of this website.

If you see it with all KDE default desktops - then perhaps it's a KDE bug.

Regardless of that - what would you rather have - people who just post but don't help - or wait for people who can.

Wait for people to answer - then if they've not within 24 hours - a polite bump helps - or even wait a while longer in order for people in different timezones to notice.

In addition to that there are a lot of people that look for unanswered threads - your intemperate, early and frankly rude and whining post probably put paid to a lot of that.
