How to properly Rotate Screen

I have lubuntu 13.10 installed on my mini computer. It will be running a display board, however the TV is mounted sideways on the wall. How do I rotate the screen so it is the proper orientation? I've tried messing with xrandr but it only leaves me with a blank screen or messed up screen.

At least on Ubuntu 12.04 there is System settings > Displays and then you can select Rotation for the screen. I think it will be similar on Lubuntu 13.10.
