New system, new installation?

My old AMD Athlon 64 system just silently died beyond repair. The disk with Ubuntu 12.04, however, is ok. I bought a second hand Intel Core Duo E8400 and inserted the old disk. Everything seems to work fine but I am wondering if I should repair/upgrade/reinstall the OS or do something at all.

If everything is working fine, all good. You could do an update and upgrade and if no errors there, what could possibly go wrong? ;)


sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
