hi im trying to install ubuntu 13.10 on my amd x2 on an asus via chipset. using my external hdd ntfs, i boot ubuntu iso using grub4dos emulation.
The livecd boot successfully and can see the desktop, can even click and open programs. but after a couple of minutes, their goes the garbled screen
with horizontal lines.
i tried the nomodeset, xforcevesa, acpi=off and even tried the compatibility mode but same results.
please help.
