Seasons Greetings to all in Ubuntu Land. For me , in Canada it is a Merry Chrsitmas! :) I want to extend a special greeting to all of the hard working blokes at U+1. We test dern good!!
Also, to Mark Shuttleworth and the Canonical family. What a great gift they have given to all of the Internet community.

I was at a large garage sale where there were many laptops and desktops. It was for chairty. I zeroed in on an IBM Thinkpad T40 (err sumthing or other) and stuck my Precise Live USB into it's side. All the other hardware was outfit with Windows XP and Vista. Unity came up and ,for a minute, time stood still as other buyers and hackers there eyeballed the swiftness of the workplace switcher on the Unity Panel. Then , an elderly fellow came up to me and exclaimed with surprise ... 'That's Ubuntu'!
Happy Holidays to all.
Peace..

In some parts of the world, it is already Christmas day. Regardless, Merry Christmas to all.

Nicely said!
/me resists the urge to burst into song:
Wee fish ewe a mare egrets moose [x3]
Panda hippo gnu deer
Whatever your inclinations towards the festivities that commonly happen around this time of year, have a happy day!

Yes guys, it's Christmas Eve in Canada, but like next province over said, Irregardless, Merry Christmas Everyone!
I got a wonderful Christmas gift a day early today. A problem I have been trying to resolve with Xubuntu, found its way to me.
I am so happy for all that everyone has contributed to provide, this OS toy(a metaphor); that runs better today, than in years for me.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Let all the holiday-themed "Hey, someone gave me a machine and I just botched an Ubuntu install on it" threads begin!

Merry Christmas everyone :D
Well, i am running a live session of 14.04 development right now (typing this from it) and considering upgrading from 13.10 final into it...i may do it later...seems to be really solid, i must say!
I was going to wait until April but i think the temptation is becoming too great to resist...
If i do, fingers will be crossed...wish me luck ;)

Ubuntu is about showing humanity to one another: the word itself captures the spirit of being human.
Here's wishing you Ubuntu in 2014. :)
Regards.

Good tidings to everybody!
Our family just enjoyed eggs benedict, preceded immediately by tree time.

Hope everyone's having a fun safe holiday. Turkey's roasting in the oven while I'm rocking out to Rush. Yeah.

When I read that I could almost hear Geddy Lee shrieking .. "Fly by night away from here ... "
:)
Merry Xmas..
