Hi All,

Is there a way to get the Ubuntu 32-bit ISO with all the most current updates on it, including additional files ? I need to create a disc for a family member who doesnt have consistent access to the internet who wants to have a play with Ubuntu installations.

Thanks

Andy

The simple answer to that is, I'm afraid, no.

One possible way out is to use the mini install iso, and when you install that at a time with internet available, just choose to add the ubuntu-desktop (or kubuntu, xubuntu, lubuntu version if preferred) and you will end up with the system including all updates. Minimal CD (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD)

It can be quite slow installing this way as it depends on an internet connection, and if that is slow, your installation will also be slow.

Just give him a DVD with an iso on it (or a usb) and than he can install it. When he is connected to internet he can update the system.
If he is not al the time connected to internet it's safe enough to use Ubuntu without (security) updates.
