My PC just does not have the power to run Ubuntu 12.04.2, can someone remind where to find the link to get 12.04.1?

JohnMac; Hi !

In response to your question:
http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/12.04.1/

However, Lubuntu is recommended for the less endowed machines:

I highly recommend Lubuntu, it is admirable on an old AMD sempron machine that was slow and hopeless with 12.04.1 version.

just try'n to help

I don't think your computer will run any faster with 12.04.1 than with 12.04.2. 12.04.2 is 12.04.1, updated to a certain date, to prevent having to download too many files after installing 12.04, to fully update the install.

Using Lubuntu is a good suggestion, and you might also try Xubuntu, which are far lighter than Ubuntu.

+1. If your machine is not running 12.04 it is not running 12.04. .1, 2, 3 or 4 is not going to make any difference to that. Barking up the wrong tree. ;)
