How can I turn off sounds for KDE applications when I'm running a different desktop environment? I have no KDE menu, and apparently no access to KDE's System Settings. (I'm running Openbox, and the application Tellico occasionally plays sounds.)

I use xfce (Xubuntu) but still configure kde apps using the systemsettings package, available in 12.04 so I assume also in later versions. However, I think sound settings are normally configured in the applications own settings, as in my screenshot of k3b settings.

I think that's what I was looking for -- I switched to "No audio output" under "Application and system notifications". Thanks!
