View Full Version : [ubuntu] Installation of the AWN-applet-stacks doesnt work

Thats the error:

it@it:~$ sudo apt-get install awn-applet-stack

awn-applet-stack : Depends: python-gnomedesktop but it is not installable or
python-gnome2-desktop but it is not installable

I am using the ppa from there:http://www.webupd8.org/2013/11/avant-window-navigator-gets-new.html

It is not related to anything i installed or changed, im at the live disk right now getting the exact same error i get on my live system.

Hello and Welcome

This lines below make me think the applet isn't gnome 3 compatible yet . If the packages are held try the following.
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install awn-applet-stack Broken and held packages are part of the risk involved with using a ppa.


The following packages have unmet dependencies:
awn-applet-stack : Depends: python-gnomedesktop but it is not installable or
python-gnome2-desktop but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
